HomeServe is aiming to inspire homeowners across the UK to get spring-cleaning their homes, gardens and finances - thanks to the help of a Bafta award-winning animator, international rugby superstar, TV gardener, leading money saving blogger….and a simple bottle of ketchup!
With spring-cleaning season hitting its peak during May, HomeServe has worked alongside Bafta award-winning animator Jessica Ashman; England international, women’s Rugby World Cup winner and HomeServe plumber Marlie Packer; BBC Gardener’s World presenter Alys Fowler and Ricky Willis (aka “Skint Dad”) to publish their own unique takes on the nation’s “Big Spring Clean”.
Together, Jessica, Marlie, Alys and Ricky have created a range of useful content, tips and checklists – available at http://ketchup.homeserve.com/tags/spring/ - to help homeowners across Britain spring-clean their homes, gardens and finances. HomeServe has produced a seven-step spring-cleaning checklist, useful step-by-step guides to household chores such as bleeding radiators, unclogging gutters and pruning trees safely, and even a range of tips about how ketchup can be used to clean metal, jewellery and cars.
“Whether it’s DIY, decorating or simply getting organised, this can be the time of year many people start doing all those small jobs they might have let build up over the last few months”, said John Greaves, HomeServe’s Brand Director. “Through the “Big Spring Clean”, we’ve been able to bring together some amazing people to give homeowners across the country some useful tips about spring cleaning their homes and gardens this year.”
Among the content available as part of HomeServe’s “Big Spring Clean” campaign are handy hints and tips on beating weeds in the garden and even cleaning with Ketchup!
“And if there’s anything people come across during their big spring clean this year that’s a little bit more complicated than they can handle, then our repairs service engineers are on hand to help them take care of it!” John added.
