Adullam Homes, as a specialist support provider, has continued to strengthen its Board with the appointment of two new members and the re-election of several others.
Andrew Cooke and Simon Wright have joined the Board in 2018. Andrew is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants with more than 20 years’ experience in diverse sectors including housing, warehousing & logistics, manufacturing, training and public health.
Simon Wright is an established businessman and currently managing director of an innovative legal firm. He previously chaired the Board of his local church and has a passion to support his local community.
Both Andrew and Simon have successfully completed their Effective Board Member training through The Governance Forum and were keen to be involved in Board membership, a way of giving back to the community.
Olympian Kelly Sotherton remains a key member of the Board. The Olympic, World and European medallist and Commonwealth champion at Heptathlon joined Adullam in 2015 and was re-elected in September 2018.
Julia Regis, Peter Walton, Stephen Philpott, Chris Green, Tony Price and Jane Newsome complete the team.
The Association, which has been providing quality housing and support services for more than 45 years, has renewed its commitment to the ‘Diversity in the Boardroom’ Pledge and is working towards its core principles. The key commitment is to ‘support the creation of a Board and Senior Leadership Team which reflects the diversity of the people you work with’ and ‘ensure the pipeline to leadership overcomes the barriers of discrimination, unfairness or inequality.’
Chris Green, the Chair of Adullam Homes, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Andrew and Simon to our Board of Management they bring great skills and experience. The Board has ultimate responsibility for establishing the framework, process and timetable for the successful operation of the group and their skills and knowledge will be invaluable.
